Cape Jaffa
A small fishing settlement and marina south of Kingston, the gateway to the wild Cape Jaffa coast.
Cape Jaffa is a tiny coastal community built around a sheltered anchorage and a modern marina, long known as a base for crayfishing and recreational angling. The original Cape Jaffa lighthouse once stood on the offshore Margaret Brock Reef before being relocated to Kingston.
The settlement is a quiet, end-of-the-road sort of place, with a wide beach, good fishing and access to the surrounding coastal reserves. Local rock lobster and fresh fish are the prize for those who time a visit well.
It anchors the southern end of the Kingston coast and makes a peaceful detour for travellers exploring the Coorong-to-Coonawarra route.
