Bowman Scenic Drive

A spectacular coastal drive south of Beachport, hugging limestone cliffs above the wild Southern Ocean.

The Bowman Scenic Drive runs along the rugged coast just south of Beachport, a few kilometres of unsealed road threading between low limestone cliffs and the booming surf. A series of lookouts and pull-offs reveal blowholes, rock platforms and crashing breakers.

The drive passes the Pool of Siloam turnoff and links the town to its conservation park, with interpretive stops explaining the geology and the ever-present wind that shapes this coast. In rough weather the spray is dramatic; on calm days the water glows turquoise over the reefs.

It is one of the great short coastal drives of the Limestone Coast, perfectly placed for a sunset loop from the Beachport jetty.
