A heritage lighthouse, once built on a treacherous offshore reef, now reassembled in Kingston SE as a museum you can climb.
A light that moved ashore
The Cape Jaffa Lighthouse spent nearly a century perched on the dangerous Margaret Brock Reef off the coast, warning ships away from the rocks. Decommissioned in 1973, the entire iron structure was dismantled and rebuilt on the foreshore at Kingston SE, where it now operates as a museum. Climb the tower for views over the bay and learn the story of the keepers who lived isolated lives above the waves.
