Beachport Jetty

One of Australia's longest jetties

A 772-metre jetty reaching out over clear water at Beachport, a favourite for fishing, walking and watching the fishing fleet.

The long walk over the water

Beachport's jetty stretches 772 metres into Rivoli Bay — among the longest in Australia — a legacy of the town's days shipping wool and grain. Today it's a magnet for anglers chasing squid and tommy ruff, for swimmers leaping off the end into clear water, and for anyone who simply wants to walk out over the sea. The local crayfishing fleet still works from the harbour nearby.
