Di Giorgio Family Wines
A welcoming Italian-Australian family cellar door at the southern end of Coonawarra, with vineyards across the Limestone Coast.
The Di Giorgio family arrived from Italy in the 1950s and built one of the region's most extensive vineyard holdings, with blocks in Coonawarra and out across the cooler Lucindale and Mount Benson country. The cellar door sits in a handsome old stone building at the southern gateway to the strip.
The range spans estate Cabernet and Shiraz to brighter, food-friendly styles drawn from the family's broader vineyards. The welcome is generous and unhurried, very much in the family tradition.
It is a good place to taste how Coonawarra fruit compares with grapes from the surrounding Limestone Coast sub-regions, all under one roof.
