Bellwether Wines
A boutique Coonawarra winery set in a heritage 1868 shearing shed, with cellar door tastings and vineyard camping.
A shearing shed cellar door
Bellwether Wines occupies the historic Glen Roy shearing shed, built in 1868, on the edge of Coonawarra. Founded by winemaker Sue Bell, the small label is known for elegant, restrained reds, including Coonawarra Cabernet and Heathcote Shiraz, made with a light touch.
The atmospheric stone-and-timber shed is a memorable place to taste, and the property also offers boutique camping among the gum trees, letting visitors stay overnight in the heart of wine country.
