Penola Conservation Park
Remnant bushland and spring wildflowers on Penola's doorstep.
Penola Conservation Park preserves a pocket of the stringybark and heath bushland that once covered much of this country before the vineyards and pine plantations.
Easy walking trails wind through the reserve, and in spring the understorey lights up with native wildflowers, making it a quiet contrast to the surrounding Coonawarra vines.
It's a good leg-stretch for nature lovers passing through the Penola district.
