Redman Wines
One of Coonawarra's founding families, pouring honest, age-worthy Cabernet and Shiraz across four generations.
The Redman name runs to the very roots of Coonawarra. Bill Redman began making wine here in 1901, and the family has been a constant presence through the region's rises and falls ever since.
The cellar door is refreshingly free of pretension. The range is small and traditional: a Shiraz that traces its lineage to the region's earliest reds, a Cabernet Sauvignon, and the Cabernet Merlot blend, all priced with old-fashioned fairness.
For anyone wanting to taste Coonawarra history in the glass, Redman is the place to start.
