Beachport Conservation Park protects a long stretch of coast around the town, from the pink-tinged salt of the Pool of Siloam to surf beaches and rolling dune systems.
The Bowman Scenic Drive threads along the cliff tops with lookouts over the Southern Ocean, while inland tracks lead to quiet swimming spots and birdlife on the lakes. It is a place to slow down, with wide empty beaches even in summer.
